Found haiku on Bluesky

Five, then seven, five.

Some posts are haiku without meaning to be. The bot reads Bluesky, finds the ones whose words fall into 5, 7 and 5 syllables, and sets them out as poems.

the bus was late but the light on the river made up for it somehow

  1. The bot reads public posts in English and counts each word by the dictionary. It never guesses.
  2. When a post happens to split into lines of 5, 7 and 5, it can highlight it: one an hour at most, and only a good one, and never more than one of yours a day.
  3. Each highlight links to a page showing how it scans. If it’s your post, you can take it down there, straight away.
  4. Curious how it reads a post? Mention @onlyhaik.us in it, or reply to it with just @onlyhaik.us, and it links you to the breakdown.

Block the bot, or take down one of its highlights, and it leaves your posts alone. It never writes to your account.
